Well, here we were low on kiddies...about 20 groups all told. Love seeing the locals, of which there were maybe 6 groups, since we sometimes don't know our neighbors from just 10 doors down as we might like to...but, the groups of "non-locals" that get bused in (large families--needy? overweight? how's that work?--or bunch of HS kids) were at least relatively polite, and nobody trashed my beloved front yard with all my personally planted and attended desert plants (which really makes me get out the baseball bat and look threatening while sitting in the desert moonlight...they just don't know I can't stand up and chase them).

So, a mixed bag...

Thanks for the news William Tell ! I went to Grateful Dead Halloween in the Bay Area but I don't remember which year that was ! Here in France that celebration of ghosts , witches and other spooks of the winter night is about buried nowadays and costumed parties are rare . People just don't know how to have fun anymore on this matters ! I miss the pumkin pies too !
